Portraits of Home photographers strive for excellence. Your assistance in preparing your home for our arrival allows us to move safely and efficiently through your property to create beautiful photographs highlighting the best that your home has to offer.
- Living Areas

Remove excessive decorative items, i.e. knicknacks. Remove personal family photos larger than 5x7s. Replace burnt out light bulbs
- Bedrooms

Have beds made. Remove personal items from night stands: clock radios, medicines, tissues, books, etc. In children's rooms, please leave only essential toys that are neat and tidy. Box up excess toys temporarily. The more floor space that shows, the better.
- Kitchen

Remove items from counters that are not decorative; paper towels, toasters, knives, dish towels, dish racks, garbage cans, etc. Remove all items from your refrigerator surface. Pull up throw rugs.
- Bathrooms

Remove all items from vanity tops unless decorative. Remove all bath products from tubs and showers. Pull up bath mats. Make sure decorative towels are hanging straight.
- Home Exterior

Please remove all cars from the driveway. Close garage doors. Remove toys, sports equipment, and move garbage/recycling cans out of sight.
Winter: Please shovel and de-ice sidewalks and driveways.
Summer: Please clean up dog waste. Make sure patio furniture is neat, orderly, and cushions are on.
At Appointment Time:
- Open curtains and blinds
- Turn on all lamps and overhead lights. Do not turn on ceiling fan blades.
- Remove all pet dishes, litter boxes, etc.
- Children: If small children must be present, please move them to a secure area of the home during photography. This is for their safety as well as for the protection of our expensive equipment.
- Pets: please move animals to a secure area of the home.
